How to achieve financial freedom… From the heart

written by Yann Vernier

-

Yesterday, I didn’t publish my post.

Why?

Because I threw it away.

It was okay. 99% ready. Good content.

But it just didn’t feel right.

Actually, I hated it.

But I couldn’t work out why.-

-
Finally, this evening it hit me.

It wasn’t right because it just wasn’t me.

I unconsciously felt like an impostor in that piece.

I had tried too hard to be someone I am not. Someone I somehow thought I ought to be instead.

Unfortunately, it’s a habit most of us suffer from.

Putting on a persona we’re not.

-
We all have our own insecurities.

Even the cockiest person on the planet has some insecurities. We’ll probably never know what they are. And that’s okay.

I’ve struggled with my levels of confidence for a while.

From time to time, it comes back and bites me in the backside.

It’s okay.

Being AWARE of it is already a big step toward getting BEYOND it.

-

So today, I thought I’d come out. And see what lesson we can learn from this.

I suspect the key – once again – is paying attention to this habit of being someone that’s not actually in alignment with who we really are.

I believe it stems from an unclear sense of purpose. A lack of meaning. And an unconscious acceptance of what the world around us projects as what we should be like.-

-
Regardless of what you do in your attempts to achieve financial freedom, or to earn extra money… If it’s not in alignment with who you really are at the core…

You will know it.

You will not keep that money.

You will unconsciously find a way to lose it. Waste it. Burn it.

Because deep inside, you will feel you don’t deserve it.

-

So I suppose the lesson is…

Sing from the heart. Write from the heart. Share from the heart.

Live from the heart…

-

What do you think?

-

To your beautiful heart,
Yann

  2. Hey Yann,

    This was just brilliant

“Sing from the heart. Write from the heart. Share from the heart.

    Live from the heart…”

Way soppy as the say…lol but a great connect

But like Rob said get it out there and you can always revise later

I’m with you. Authenticity is vital. What if we went to Coffee with Kevin Hogan and it was off somehow, it didn’t sound like Kevin one week? We would all be scratching our heads and going, is Kevin sick? What’s up?
Stay with authenticity. And begin now with how you intend to be from here on.

Being your true self is important.

Being real and not so impressive is better than faking it to. “Fake it until you make it” is delicate advice people often hand out.

    Great post.

Just a thought….if you wrote it, there was a spark of you there, right? Maybe it’ll come back in time from a different angle, maybe outside the box.

  9. Yann, you’re scaring me! Being wealthy is not in alignment with who I am. so now I’m afraid that I’m working so hard for it and I’m just going to blow it all if I can even make any! UGH!!!! lol

  10. of course, you could still have gotten SEO from it… ;)

Indeed, it is better to share genuinely from our imperfection, to do so confidently and to shift and display your learning. We will trust you more then when you self-correct. Because if you as the leader are imperfect and OK, it must be safe for me to be so…too. Thus you garner my deeper trust going forward.

  12. Thank you for your honesty and ability to speak from a place of vulnerability. I struggle with the same from time to time. And it is true that once you are aware of it that unconscious part of you can no longer put you on that specific program.
    Again, great post. Thanks.
