Why do you want money? Why?

written by Yann Vernier

Day 2 of T Harv Eker’s “Millionaire Mind Intensive”:

Many interesting insights today.

But I’ll focus on what was probably the most intense moment of the training.

The key exercise made each person in the audience nail down their deep true reason for wanting to become financially independent.

And then, share it – in detail – with another participant.

Talk about expanding your comfort zone!

Especially since they had to clearly call your bluff if they didn’t feel genuine passion in your explanation.

Now, imagine the energy in the room:

2,500 people precisely hitting and describing their real “why” all at the same time…

As Jim Rohn says: “The bigger the WHY the easier the HOW”.

It makes a whole lot of sense, doesn’t it?

But don’t we too often focus on a lesser, perhaps more socially acceptable, “why” than what’s truly in our gut?

Picture this…

You’re on your deathbed… Struggling to hang on to life… Conscious you’ll be leaving the planet in just a few minutes.

Will you really be worrying about how much money you earned?

Worth thinking about honestly, isn’t it?…

Aren’t you more likely to ponder what kind of person you were?

And how it affected the people and experiences in your life?

Since you’re still alive and well, I leave you to find your own answers.

Until tomorrow,
Yann

  2. Hi Yann,

indeed that sounds like such a wonderful example. Indeed, as a couch yourself, don’t you find that the more we are DETAILED in the description of our desired state which is what is our REAL goal behind all of our goals, the better equipped we are to

discern what and with whom will enable us to EXPERIENCE those states?

in terms of with romance, it helps to FREE US from becoming obsessed attached over one person when what we are TRULY desiring is a LOVED/LOVING state. which means there are multiple people in the world with whom we can experience that.

Do you find you and your clients do best with not just a general: describe the state: sort of questions but rather with questions which really help to dig up the state with a number of different questions, some of which over lap or almost are repetitive?

Always interested in your expert opinion.
no need to answer in a reply, of course.

Thought generating……I am here to learn how to do this marketing effectively so that I may pass it along to my daughters who I fear are going to grow up in a very unstable ecconomic time, that they may be able to care for their families in such a way as to not depend on a job or a fearful employer. I am here so too to provide my wife with a less stressful life which does her cancer no good at all. And I am here for me…..to take control of my life once and for all, that I may leave this earth knowing I did everything I could, that I did provide for myself and my own, and that I did leave it a little better than I found it.

    That’s pretty much it

    Thanks for listening.

What a great post. And what great comments.
JC answered for me with one difference, I don’t have two daughters, but I have a 4 year old nephew to pass it along to.

Yann, You make a great point. We all have to get our priorities straight. We often get caught up in our own little world. One of the hardest things in life is to find balance. Mark

  6. There is only so much time in which to accomplish things so we need to get our priorities straight so we can focus on them.

You seem to be getting a lot of value from the seminar. That’s great!

I’m sure that the semianr was an high impact one!

Yes,imagine how I fell on my death bed. What do I value most at that time and what things go thru’my mind.

We tend to take things for granted until we lose them. Just to have my wife & my son away from me for slightly over 3 weeks aamde me miss them so much.
